The Readiness Process

The first step in preparing for a SAS 70 is determining the readiness of the organization. Some companies have extensive control documentation and test their controls on a regular basis. Others require an assessment of their readiness for a SAS 70.

The readiness process can involve the identification of the scope of the SAS 70, including the control objectives that will be included in the report. The process can also involve assistance with control documentation and tests of control areas to identify weaknesses that need remediation before the SAS 70 engagement can begin.
